 THE NEXT 4TH SATURDAY SHOW

Make your plans to attend.  Spring Creek Bluegrass Club 4th Saturday show July 26, 2010 at Coushatte RV Ranch.  Jamming starts at 4 pm and the show starts at 6:30 pm.

Coushate  Ramblers
The first group to play was the “Coushatte Ramblers.”  Members are:  Buddy Brockett-banjo, Frank Witt-guitar, Jack Ritter-mandolin, Lorna Witt-bass,  Dick Joiner-dobro and on loan from Salt-grass  John Brockett- guitar.    Some of the songs they did were Sittin’ On Top Of The World, Tennessee Border, Redwood Hill, Panhandle Rag, Wild Bill Jones, Down The Road ,Mississippi,  Lorena and by request, If I Were Free.  Good Show!  
   

Too Broke to Care

Next to perform was the group ”To Broke to Care.”  Members of this group are Andy Smith-Guitar, Jordan Kishbaugh-banjo, Ben Sims-bass, Dale Richey-Mandolin and Laney Sims-mandolin and fiddle.  They did My Little Georgia Rose, I’ll Get By, Little Mountain Church, Crazy Heart, My Blue Eyed Darlin’, Sandwich Sized, Leave Me Little Darlin’, Rain and Snow, Walls of Time and 100 Years.  Good Job.  Thanks to Dale, Andy and Jordan for teaming up with Laney and Ben to entertain us. 
    

The Saltgrass Band
And the last group to perform was “The Saltgrass Band”.  Members are John Brockett-guitar, Jimmy Fischer-banjo, Jim Lowery-bass. Timmy Fischer-mandolin  and  Don Eggers-dobro.  They started their portion of the show with the Martha White Flour commercial.  They did Moundsville Pen, Come On Down (to my world), Sunny Side of the Mountain, The Lighthouse, Saltgrass Ride, Ramblin’ Fever, Julie Ann, and Rocky Top.   Don came to the mic and did California Blues.  Then the band took request the rest of the evening.  Some of those request were: Carolina In The Pines, Shelly, Set Your Fields On Fire, Stars Stripes Tattered and Torn, and Foggy Mountain Breakdown for Jonathan, a future banjo picker that Buddy has given a few tips when he  comes to jamming sessions.  Jimmy and Buddy also did Reuben for the crowd, but mostly for Jonathan. Good Show.
