The
Saltgrass Band

And
the last group to perform was “The
Saltgrass Band”. Members
are John Brockett-guitar, Jimmy Fischer-banjo, Jim
Lowery-bass. Timmy Fischer-mandolin and
Don Eggers-dobro.
They started their portion of the show with the Martha
White Flour commercial. They
did Moundsville Pen, Come On Down (to my world), Sunny Side of
the Mountain, The Lighthouse, Saltgrass Ride, Ramblin’
Fever, Julie Ann, and Rocky Top.
Don came to the mic and did
California
Blues. Then the
band took request the rest of the evening.
Some of those request were: Carolina In The Pines,
Shelly, Set Your Fields On Fire, Stars Stripes Tattered and
Torn, and Foggy Mountain Breakdown for Jonathan, a future
banjo picker that Buddy has given a few tips when he
comes to jamming sessions. Jimmy
and Buddy also did Reuben for the crowd, but mostly for
Jonathan. Good Show.
