t is getting real close to “festival” time.  Please start thinking about what you can donate to the country store for raffle or silent auction.  Also, bring your items for the” trash to treasure” sale.  This is a great way to support the club and do some fall cleaning at the same time.  Hope to see you there!!!

Jam and Show July 25, 2007

Show Review by:  Joyce Jackson
July brought out a good crowd of people for the monthly show.  We started off with three bands on the schedule to play, but added another one after the show got under way.  The Greer family showed up with instruments, so naturally we assumed they came to play!

The first group to play was “Salt Grass Band.” Members are John Brockett-Guitar, Jimmy Fischer-Banjo, Timmy Fischer-Mandolin and Jim Lowery-Bass.  It was really good to have Timmy there considering only one-week prior, he had to have a stint put in.  Jim was a little slow getting on stage, so they started the show without him.  Buddy was still on stage (introducing the band), so he sang a bit of  Milk Cow Blues.  Then they did Raining In LA, Come On Down To My World, Rocky Top, The Lighthouse, Sunny Side Of The Mountain, Twenty-One Miles, Julianne and for an encore, Lean On You.  </
